Supply Chain and Customer Service Director

Supply chain leadership role – global chemicals manufacturer

£Attractive Base; Bonus; Car and Blue Chip Benefits Scheme. Relocation Assistance.

Teesside, North East England

The Company

Venator is a leading chemical company focused on the development and manufacture of titanium dioxide pigments and performance additives, which are used as intelligent ingredients in thousands of everyday items including coatings, plastics, cosmetics, paper, pharmaceuticals, and catalysts. Venator employs over 4,300 associates across a global network of 24 sites, with annual revenues of over $2billion, selling products in more than 110 countries.

The head office and senior leadership team are based in Wynyard, Teesside, in the North East of England. Positioned between the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and the North Pennines (and within easy reach of Northumberland National Park), the local area offers many features that contribute to a high quality of life – whilst still being accessible to local airports.

The Role

Based at Venator’s offices in Wynyard, the successful candidate will lead the supply chain and customer service organisation – to deliver effective end-to-end supply chain processes and services.

The role will be responsible for the leadership and development of the S&OP, Distribution, Logistics, and Customer Service teams – with 200 people based across 6 sites (UK, Germany, Malaysia, Spain and Italy) – with the majority of the direct reports based at Wynyard.

This role represents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and proven supply chain leader with the drive and capability to make a difference within a successful, complex and global chemicals manufacturing organisation.

The Candidate

With the necessary energy, drive and leadership profile, you will have benefited from having worked in a best-in-class international manufacturing and supply chain environment with a continuous improvement philosophy. You will be both familiar with, and proficient in, the delivery of effective organisational change.

This would include previous experience of leading complex supply chain activities and having significant experience working at a strategic level within a global customer services environment. A detailed understanding of the full order to cash process in both commercial and financial dimensions will be essential.

Likely to be from a process industry sector, such as chemicals, petrochemicals, coatings, personal care, or food and drink, you will be well-educated – with a relevant first degree and ideally a further qualification in supply chain management.
