Brief Overview
Distribution and Warehouse shift Managers are responsible for coordinating the storage, transportation and delivery of goods. You will also be involved in stock control and warehousing. Managing the day to day running of the warehouse. Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
Responsible for the line management of the staff within the distribution team including warehouse staff and transportation staff
Ensuring that all delivery requirements for the depot are successfully met
Core Duties:
- Managing recruitment, training and appraising of employees
- Allocation and manage staff resource according to ever changing needs
- Managing of costs within budget
- Implement, manage and maintain health and safety standards
- Manage an effective stock control and replenishment process
- Liaising with customers to ensure high levels of customer service are being achieved
Key Skills:
- Ability to be flexible as we are a 7 day operation
- Organisational and planning skills
- Good IT skills
- Good team work skills
Knowledge and Experience:
- Communication and Leadership skills
- Able to motivate a workforce and encourage strong teamwork
Additional Information
- £30000 - £35000 depending on experience, plus bonus
- Average working hours 40 plus additional as per Business requirements
- Alternating Shift Pattern:
- Week 1 - Mon to Fri 12pm to 9.30pm
- Week 2 - Tues to Friday 12pm to 9.30pm & Saturday 6am to 3.30pm
