Purchase Order Assistant:

Job Specification

Reporting to the Head of Finance

  • To run the purchase order process ensuring that all purchase orders are confirmed by suppliers on a timely basis
  • To review the invoices received from suppliers to check that they reconcile to the purchase orders issued
  • To assist with the offers process by producing consolidated purchase orders for suppliers as required

Responsibilities:

  • Run the purchase order process and ensure that all purchase orders are confirmed by suppliers on a timely basis - with particular emphasis at month end with the aim of closing as many purchase orders as possible
  • Monitor credit notes required from suppliers and follow up with suppliers as necessary
  • Review invoices received from supplier to reconcile with the purchase orders issued
  • Review invoices received from suppliers to ensure payment terms agree to purchase orders
  • Produce consolidated purchase orders for wines sold on an offer basis
  • Assist with purchase invoice processing where possible
  • Assist with stock reconciliation items where necessary
  • Assist with clearing down purchase orders that have been cancelled or are no longer expected to be fulfilled
  • Feedback on problematic suppliers to drive improvements in the supply chain

Profile

The successful candidate will have worked in administration and have processed PO's / Purchase Orders before. You will have high attention to detail and be able to commute to City of London with ease.
