Logistics Administrator
(Logistics Container Control Administrator)
Principal Function
An opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Administrator to support functions in my client's busy Logistics office on their site in Rugby.
• The successful Logistics Administrator duties will include container management' which requires the physical counting on site of various containers.
• You will also be required to process goods received into their business system.
• Complete data entry, audits and reconciliation.
• Raise invoices on a daily basis.
Logistics Administrator Job Requirements
• Container control Rental and Customer owned containers
• Inbound and outbound booking
• Management of the Chep & Gefco on site inventory levels
• Container scheduling in line with specific lead times
• Container movement log updated
• Container reconciliation
• Monthly/Yearly container audits
• Receipt goods in to factory system
• Validate inbound deliveries and supplier paperwork for accuracy
• Transport planning including communication with transport companies as required
• Produce delivery notes as required
• Liaison with other departments (e.g. Sales, Projects, Purchasing, Finance)
• Co-ordinate with logistics operations team
• Raise customer invoices
• Willing to undertake training and further learning as required.
Logistics Administrator Skills/Experience:
• Good IT skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database
• Experience in a Logistic and/or transport environment
• Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement principles
• Be self-motivated and give attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Automotive experience would be an advantage
• Ability to work outside of normal contracted hours as and when necessary
