Warehouse Operations Manager

Reporting into the Head of Logistics, this role would suit a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager or Head of Warehousing with experience of managing fast-paced and dynamic operations.

THE ROLE:

• Management of a flag-ship site - including Pick/Pack, Despatch, Returns, Quality Control and Inventory.
• Direct Management responsibility of a senior management team of 6 people.
• Management of a multi-client portfolio (shared user with a mix of open-book & closed-book operations).
• Indirect Management responsibility for an overall team of 90 people (including shop-floor staff).
• Management of a budget of £5 million P&L.
• Engagement, Coaching and Mentoring of your team.
• Suggesting & Leading CI within your operation.
• Health & Safety for your site.
• This position will link in with the Transport, Commercial & Finance teams on a regular basis.

THE PERSON:

• Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager or Head of Warehousing ideally with experience of 3PL operations.
• This person HAS to be degree-qualified.
• Overall management responsibility for at least 100 heads or more.
• Shared user experience is an advantage.
• Closed book 3PL experience is an advantage.
• Front-foot & hands-on leadership style.
• Able to liaise from shop-floor to Board level.
• Keen to leave a lasting impact and legacy on the wider business.
• Strives for operational excellence and sets your teams high standards.
• Engaging and coaching style.
• Able and willing to progress your career to Director level eventually.
