ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Obtain best prices for all purchases to meet the requirements of the manufacturing and installation process. Ensure purchase orders are delivered on time to meet the requirements of the production team and customer base.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all purchases are covered by an accurate purchase order.
  • Obtaining a minimum of 2 quotations to ensure competition on purchases for stock and project specific items (where possible).
  • Finding new suppliers and fabricators.
  • Book in all purchase orders within 24 hours of arrival.
  • Sort all purchase invoice queries for the accounts team.
  • Work with the team to ensure stock is accurate.
  • Build relationships with shop floor team to ensure quality of purchases meets requirements.
  • Supporting production and installation supervisors with quick requests whilst still following procedures.
  • Provide cover for holidays for other team members in the production and installation department including completing bills of materials, booking transport, supporting site installers, method statements etc.

Role Requirements:

  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with shop floor and office-based personnel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Salary: £22-£24K

Location: Bedfordshire

Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm 30 minutes for lunch
