Purchasing Administrator
Location: Stonehouse
Salary: £18,720 per annum
40 hours per week

I am looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join a manufacturer in Stonehouse.

We are looking for a candidate who can utilise their strong administration skills to support the purchasing team.

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Administrator:
" Stock control and development of current systems of my client's current aluminium product range
" This will include the placing and management of purchase orders, progressing and management of suppliers within this function to ensure the continuity of supply within function, without overstocking, developed into a zero stock out process
" Responsible for development of reports and reporting to SCM, including OTIF, stock levels, slow, obsolete stocks, stock takes and other generic procurement processes
" Responsible for the order of goods ensuring on time delivery and quality
" Progress of orders
" Supplier relationship building
" Contract and pricing negotiation (low level)
" Management of all purchasing data and parts files
" Lead in stock takes
" Undertake all office based processing that is required within the function
" Undertake all filing as required within the function
" Arrange and attend meetings, taking minutes if necessary
" Generally help out with smaller purchases, reviews and inventory matters

Requirements to become the Purchasing Administrator:
" Proactive, enthusiastic and hardworking
" Outstanding communication with suppliers and colleagues
" Excellent planning and organisational skills
" Analytical with the ability to foresee and solve problems
" IT literate and experience of working with MRP systems within a manufacturing environment

Desirable experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience of working in a purchasing / buyer role
Experience of managing stock takes and supporting stock management
Experience of successful negotiation with suppliers
