An exciting new role is available for a Supply Chain Operator with this dynamic forward thinking Freight Forwarding agent working within the department handling a large airline account.

The Supply Chain Operator should have supply chain experience and freight/cargo airline/logistics industry background. Excellent customer service/IT skills and good commercial awareness.

The Supply Chain Operator is responsible for all supply chain activities associated with customer order fulfilment and on time deliveries (Outbound). Maintain processes and systems to improve order management accuracy.

The Supply Chain Operator Delivers outstanding customer service and is main point of contact for all Domestic & International Delivery Points. Liaison between the delivery points and the Distribution Centre & Export Team and for investigation of all reported nonconformities.

Ensures appropriate amount of product released into the network reducing risk of stock cover at the Distribution Centre as well as ensuring appropriate cover at the stations.

Identifies opportunities to improve costs maintaining the service levels to all Delivery Points.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Development of strong relationships: Internal & External
  • Ensure regular and proactive communication on the shipments status and investigation of deliveries non-conformities and root cause analysis (e-mail and Online portal)
  • Facilitate Online Portal training for all Customers
  • Weekly/ Monthly updates for the Client Delivery Team Execs -Lead calls
  • System: Maintain and manage existing & New Users linking
  • Planning & processing of the overseas orders process reducing risk of excess stock and Out of Stocks at the stations
  • Effective processing of Urgent Request (Cabin Loads & Air Freights)
  • Efficient Sales Order process management to ensure On Time Deliveries, both Domestic and International:

-Through Company System:

  • All Sales Orders processed in timely manner/accord to agreed cut off time
  • Other processes in place to support accurate & On Time Order process
  • Resourceful management of the International Sea Freight schedule:
  • Liaise with Exports team for schedule confirmation
  • Manage and edit the schedule in accordance to agreed parameters
  • Regular update of the schedule with the various stages of the process
  • Regular submission of the schedule update to the customers
  • Monitors & weekly reporting of On-Time & In -Full Performance KPI
  • Where appropriate identify & propose process changes
  • Monitor & identify cost improvements:
  • FCL vs LCL (Sea Freight)
  • Order & Delivery Frequency reduction where appropriate
  • Shipments (Volume & Frequency) over BAFO
  • Prepares and submit all relevant contractual reports pertaining to Supply Chain process in a timely manner

Qualifications and key skills

Qualifications include:

  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Previous supply chain experience
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and systems
  • Comfortable working with and analysing large data sets
  • Strong interpersonal & communications skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and good time-management
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Analytical, with great attention to detail
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Advocate to Continuous improvement
  • Experience in ERP systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, (particularly Excel, Pivot Tables)
  • Accreditation in supply planning or other supply chain management would be an advantage

  • Efficient Sales Order process management to ensure On Time Deliveries
  • Efficient management of the International Sea freight schedule-On Time
  • Appropriate Order Fulfilment management
  • Roll out & management of Online portal to all Customers (Delivery Points)
  • Identify opportunities for cost Improvement
  • Master Data maintenance & accuracy

Basic Salary £29k plus attendance bonus and profit related bonus

Based In Egham, should be a car driver due to the location/or commutable distance
