A permanent opportunity for an experienced, Senior Import Clerk has arisen in this long standing, established business. This is a challenging position based in a fast paced, supportive team that will offer good job variety, satisfaction and reward.

Key duties will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for customers for sea and air import bookings.
  • Dealing with Shipping lines and hauliers for FCL, LCL and RoRo shipments.
  • Ensuring all import documentation is completed to meet internal, customer and legal requirements and transmit import custom entries via Destin8 and CNS.
  • Make the necessary arrangements as required to meet HM Customs & Excise requirements.
  • Track shipments and deal with any queries.

To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to display first class customer service skills, good communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail driving an excellence in operations.

With a proactive approach and the ability to work on your own initiative, candidates must have excellent imports experience working within the freight forwarding industry along with good systems knowledge.
