Responsibilities

The Regional Branch Manager role delivers strategic improvements and deliverables for the growth of the business, being responsive to operational demands, with the ability to identify issues & solutions through data and people engagement.

You’ll lead the designated teams through the identification of issues and solutions that will drive improvements and deliver superior performance through the Branch’s structure and processes.

  • Implementing solutions with speed and stability whilst being able to assess the success and performance of operational changes through management information.
  • Work with the operational teams, other business units and wider team members to ensure the business is best placed to develop new products and commercial relationships.
  • Ensure operational targets are met and manage cost control effectively.
  • Interact with existing clients where necessary, ensuring a customer focused and pro-active operation.
  • Develop resources within areas of accountability, managing talent and developing succession plans to ensure operational capability is sustainable as well as managing poor performance.

Essential Skills for the role:

  • Demonstrable ability to understand cost controls, data, reports, MI and KPI information.
  • Good understanding of planning tools, volume and forecast planning.
  • The ability and experience to manage multiple process operations, and P&L
  • Experience in 3rd party logistics, transport and senior team leadership.
  • Ideally National and International CPC certified or working towards.
  • An understanding of H&S legislation, ideally NEBOSH certified.
  • Experience and evidence of running high performing teams.
  • Understand the client needs and the ability to show commercial acumen.
  • Ability to evidence a track record of identifying opportunities for efficiency and performance improvement in depots.
  • Experience of and the ability to mentor and guide talent, nurture and identify hidden talent within Branch structures.
