Friendly and established company in Lewes are looking for a lively Purchasing Administrator £21500, permanent. You will support the customer service, sales and warehouse department to ensure that all orders and materials are with clients in a timely manner.
Working in a small team, your duties will include:
- General ordering, to keep stock items readily available
- Regular monitoring of the reorder report to ensure stock is placed on order in sufficient time to keep stock levels at the optimum levels.
- Booking in of stock onto internal computer systems
- Liaising with external transport companies to arrange transport and book in deliveries of stock.
- Producing Goods In Record Sheet and Stock due in form daily
- Checking Order Confirmations
- Arranging Direct Deliveries to customers
- Tasks - Product Sourcing - for the most competitive supplier and new products
- Archiving of paperwork
- Processing Purchase order requests
- Order Progress Chasing
- Completing stock transfers
- Producing Collection notes
- Setting up new product stock codes & completing the relevant stages of new stock procedure
- Collating information on Supplier KPI's (key performance indicator)
- Reporting short/over deliveries, and deliveries of incorrect products to supplier
- Answering general telephone line and redirecting calls
- Managing Personal and Buying emails
- Requesting of samples and quoting of products
Ideal candidates will have some previous purchasing/buying administration experience, with experience working in a fast paced telephone based customer service environment. Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to learn the new in-house systems (Exchequer). Efficient and friendly telephone manner, be a team player, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise duties.
Candidates must be available to work on a rota basis Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, then 8.45am-4.45pm. Simply health plan, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, pension, free parking onsite, £21500. Looking to interview asap.
