They are market leaders in design, sourcing, marketing and distribution and have the ability to offer a design to delivery service, working with key national retailers and several brands.

There is a focus on third party logistics management and haulage for sending goods overseas. Knowledge of customs and commodity codes would be a big advantage!

They are looking for a person who is great at juggling many different demands simultaneously, a natural organiser who can continually re-prioritise their own workload.

Please note the hours for this role are Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivery planning - making sure all orders that require bookings are arranged and seen through to the final delivery stage
  • Delivery paperwork - Checking to make sure that all paperwork is correct from picking lists through to delivery paperwork
  • Delivery discrepancies - following up on all delivery issues and queries
  • Booking confirmations - email acceptance and work planning with the management team
  • Invoicing - oversee all booked deliveries to the invoiced status
  • Purchase orders - raise PO’s for all transport planned and see through to the invoice first sign off stage
  • Planning routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries
  • Booking in deliveries and liaising with customer account managers
  • Allocating and recording haulage resources and movements on the transport planning portals/spreadsheets
  • Ensuring all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operation
  • Communicating effectively with all departments, customs and customers and responding to their requirements
  • Booking sub-contractors and ensuring they delivery within agreed customer’s terms & conditions
  • Close monitoring of cost attached to all 3rd party/sub-contractors haulage operations
  • Monitoring transport costs
  • Negotiating and bargaining transport prices
  • Confronting issues directly linked to situations on borders and customs strikes, make sure clear communication with sub-contractor’s haulage company, to minimize impact on lead times
  • Liaising transport details and queries with warehouses and haulage companies
  • Organising and booking delivery runs
  • Ensuring the successful fulfilment of all orders
  • General admin support

What the client are looking for:

  • At least 1 years’ experience in a similar logistics or transport focused role
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and professionalism, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • A friendly, team player, but also able to work on your own initiative
  • You will be willing to be involved in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • A desire to progress through clear recognisable achievements
