Purchasing Assistant - South Leeds - to £22,000 plus benefits

Purchasing Assistant required for a Leeds based organisation, who are an innovative leader in their field and supplier of specialist equipment across a wide variety of industries.

This is a key role within the business and is crucial to ensure that all purchasing transactions are performed in line with financial and company requirements. The role will ensure minimum stock and reorder levels are up to date and accurate at all times.

You will be involved with the purchase of materials at best value and monitor supplier performance, lead time and short falls as well as investigating new supply sources and assessing their suitability. You will also oversee the end to end purchase to pay process, ensuring timely receipts of materials into the business, prompt query resolution and payment processing.

To be a success in this role you will have already gained solid experience within a purchasing role and be able to demonstrate a strong ability to plan and organise. Your key skills will be communication and negotiation as well has having a keen commercial awareness. In addition to this you will be able to build strong business relationships and work with a customer focus and a positive outlook and attitude.
