Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager Job in Rotherham

You will be working for a leading manufacturer based in the heart of Rotherham with fantastic travel links to the surrounding and wider areas of South Yorkshire.

Your new role
As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Procurement & Supply Chain functions of the organisation. This will include monitoring the performance of direct reports, develop individuals, maintain accurate procurement and stock control records, produce forecasts and any other KPIs necessary to ensure an effective supply chain and procurement function. The role is predominantly office based but may require you to attend meetings for the purpose of supplier engagement and performance review. You will need to ensure all purchase orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner along with making sure that correct stock levels are maintained to maximise availability and stock turnover. For all supply chain processes are fit for purpose and interface with other functions coupled with the supply chain targets are clearly communicated and monitor progress. To manage the procurement and stock control teams are clearly focused and motivated whilst ensuring that relationships with suppliers are developed and maintained.

You will also be working closely with the Operations Director as required with related activities as well as to assist the Production department with any booking in/delivery related queries and the Finance department with any invoice related queries

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Procurement professional with a background in the manufacturing industry. Alongside this, you must be an excellent communicator/leader/team player with fantastic organisation/process skills. You will need to be highly competent at problem solving and highly proficient at building and maintaining excellent relationships with both staff & suppliers whilst demonstrating good negotiation skills. CIPS is also desirable but not essential.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary up to £42,000, based on experience, with a fantastic pension and holiday package. Free parking is also available on site.
