Role: Procurement Assistant

Hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm

Location: Borehamwood/Elstree (no nearby public transport)

BPL’s is based in Borehamwood, in a secure campus surrounded by natural beauty, greenery, lakes and wildlife, however are restricted to those with their own transport.

As a Procurement Assistant within BPL you will be responsible for the proactive and timely Procurement support service to BPL stakeholders and strive to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Procurement services against defined KPI’s.

Working as a key part of our procurement department, you will be responsible for processing all purchase requisitions and issuing purchase orders to suppliers. You will manage new supplier requests and provide up to date status reports on purchase requisitions raised to the wider team.

Other key duties include;

  • Purchase requisitions and order placement to suppliers

  • Dashboard reporting on Procurement activity levels

  • Continuous improvement recommendations on current P2P Procurement processes

  • Shared purchase order expediting

  • Ensure Procurement procedures are adhered to in line with company policy and other relevant Procedures to ensure compliance to policy and GMP.

  • Provide specialised knowledge and advice of the Procurement Function to IFS Requisition’s and Authorisers.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative, taking ownership and responsibility of your workload

  • Desire to embrace change, successfully adapting to constantly changing demands.

  • Ability and desire to solve problems and adapt to a pressurised environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking and organisational skills

    Experience to make you successful in the role;

  • You will be a strong administrator, ideally with experience of working within a supply chain or procurement department

  • You’ll be working with lots of data, so experience in data analysis and the ability to understand complex data and situations and translate messages clearly

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Part of full CIPS qualified would be an advantage however, not essential
