Hours: 40 hours per week. 7:30 am - 4:45 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30 am - 12:30 pm Friday
Salary and Benefits: £18,000 - £19,000 per annum depending on experience. 21 days bank holiday (+ 8 bank holidays) which increases with length of service. Regular pay reviews. Quarterly free Pizza lunches. Non-contractual bonus scheme that is regularly paid out.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and growing company. This role involves Sales and Purchasing Administration which is shared with another employee in the business. Meaning that you will always have dependable cover for holidays.
The main duties of the role are:
- Receive telephone calls coming into the office and transfer to relevant person where necessary.
- Acknowledge and react to purchase requests in a timely manner.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and negotiate best prices where possible.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and build new relationships whenever possible.
- Create purchase orders in Sage.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure purchase orders have been received.
- Advise on lead time for all orders.
- Ensure orders are delivered on time.
- Book new sales jobs onto sage.
- Issue pro-forma invoices to new customers.
- Create order acknowledgements and issue to customers.
- Advise relevant persons where completion dates are not achievable.
