We are working with our client who are a leading Oil & Gas Manufacturing company based in Newcastle in the search for a buyer to join the procurement team.
The Procurement department is responsible for the procurement of all components, raw materials and CAPEX for the Global manufacturing facilities. The buyer is a role that sits within this department dedicated to the management of key suppliers.

- Project set-up on IFS
- Weekly progress
- Expediting
- HSE Status
- Scheduling (Project specific + Global)
- Non-conformance reporting
- Purchase order Management
- Tendering Support
- Request for quotation review
- Offers from Suppliers
- Offer review
- Bid analysis
- Specification compliance
- Supplier management
- Supplier capacity review - Including competitor watch
- Supplier Development
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- CIPS Level 5 - Preferable
- Graduate Degree - Preferable (e.g. Business Management, international business)
- Procurement department work experience
