We are working with our client who are a leading Oil & Gas Manufacturing company based in Newcastle in the search for a buyer to join the procurement team.

The Procurement department is responsible for the procurement of all components, raw materials and CAPEX for the Global manufacturing facilities. The buyer is a role that sits within this department dedicated to the management of key suppliers.

  • Requirement for PO
  • Requisition
  • Project set-up on IFS
  • Weekly progress
  • Expediting
  • HSE Status
  • Scheduling (Project specific + Global)
  • Non-conformance reporting
  • Purchase order Management
  • Tendering Support
  • Request for quotation review
  • Offers from Suppliers
  • Offer review
  • Bid analysis
  • Specification compliance
  • Supplier management
  • Supplier capacity review - Including competitor watch
  • Supplier Development

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • CIPS Level 5 - Preferable
  • Graduate Degree - Preferable (e.g. Business Management, international business)
  • Procurement department work experience
