As a Warehouse Manager or Logistics Manager, what’s your recipe for job satisfaction? Beyond being that warehouse supervisor figurehead steering logistics, operations and distribution, what drives you?

Yes – you’re all about dotting the KPIs, crossing the inefficiencies, and the leadership that brings less haste to reduce waste… But what else…? Is it money? Or is it the difference you make, the work’s purpose, and inspiring people?

Well here’s some food for thought: in this role, as a Warehouse Manager at the UK’s biggest food redistributor, you’ll be part of a cause that…

  • Feeds almost one million people per week and saves the UK £51 million per year
  • Redistributed enough food for 46.5 million meals last year
  • Enhances lives, improves diets, and supports thousands of community groups

Working across three sites in the East Midlands, this role will have up to five direct reports and eight indirect. You’ll oversee and develop our first-line managers, supervisors and team leaders. You’ll embed new processes and ways of working throughout the team, so you’ll need to be able to lead, inspire and motivate; this is no job for a command-and-control type.

You will be the Warehouse Manager who’ll push this charity’s operations to the next level – by overseeing efficient and safe working practices, by ensuring the right resources are in place, and by improving supply chain process efficiency.

Additional Benefits…

  • The pride in driving a cause that enhances people’s lives
  • Developing teams and individuals, bringing out people’s potential
  • Fuel/transport costs, per mile, covered for work-related travel
  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Church of England Pension Builder Scheme (optional)

So, Do You Have…?

  • Warehouse leadership experience as a supervisor or manager
  • Food industry experience already, as an Area or Shift Manager?
  • Health and safety training, qualifications and/or compliance/leadership experience
  • Demonstrable success in introducing processes and reducing accidents
  • KPI achievements related to waste reduction and production output
