Purchasing & Inventory Specialist

Kerr operating as an employment business working on behalf of our client, a global company within the electronics sector. Our client is seeking to appoint a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist.
Working hours: Monday to Friday Full Time
Responsibilities:
- Control stock levels in relation to product support lifecycles
- Minimise "stock out's" to meet customer performance delivery targets'.
- Manage and minimise excess and obsolete stock to target levels by analysing and solving reasons behind it.
- Forecasting and recommend purchases to achieve optimum inventory levels
- Prepare reports and monitors for a range of supply chain functions including performance and inventory projections.
- Identify and report risks associated with product portfolio
- Liaise effectively with operations overseas to maximise efficiency and workflows
- Prepare and manage production build plans and parts shortages
Ideal candidates would have:
- Strong analytical or mathematical background
- Experience using planning and forecasting systems
- A good understanding of business processes particularly relating to service parts planning, supply chain optimisation, repair operations and reverse logistic
- Experience liaising with suppliers and clients.
- High level of IT literacy to include strong Excel skills
- Good eye for detail to ensure data accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence and Assertiveness
