Job Details

Our client is an iconic Fortune 20 Company with a presence in over 20 countries worldwide. They are experiencing a tremendous amount of growth and are therefore expanding their Procurement function within the group. They are looking for a Procurement Manager to take the reigns on Software projects in the IT category.

This is a very important role within the organization. You will report to the IT Global Category Lead, and will be relied upon to demonstrate your ability to lead on often complex, challenging projects with teams varying in size. Excitingly, you'll be operating with a budget of over £140m and will be tasked with delivering value and savings whilst still providing an excellent quality of service.

The role:

  • Taking the lead on several complex end-to-end procurement projects in the IT category (software) from early stage strategizing to successful delivery. You'll manage end-to-end procurement projects and leading teams at a local, regional or group-wide stage.
  • You will often be the point of contact for key stakeholders (both internal and external) to develop strategy and IT category initiatives; providing thought-leadership and expert knowledge; ongoing management of suppliers.
  • Leading and coordinating on different work-streams and initiatives within the IT Category, ensuring the timely delivery of objectives.
  • Running sourcing programs specifically in the software subcategory

Key skills:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment and on complex projects within the IT category, especially Software. Ideally this will have been at within organization with multiple brands and business divisions.
  • Confidence when managing and influencing key stakeholders - internal and external
  • In-depth knowledge of IT Procurement with demonstrable experience of delivering value in a timely fashion and showcasing a history of delivering impressive individual savings against budgets.
  • Commercially astute; strong communication and negotiation skills; adept at applying a variety of commercial approaches to deliver real value to the business.
