To support the delivery of our goals we are looking for an experienced, self motivated, self assured senior procurement professional with a sharp mind and who thrives in a fast paced environment to join the Direct Procurement team.

What the role entails:

Working within the Direct Procurement team, you'll be responsible for the management strategic contracts for the business, and identifying opportunities to drive value through the complete contract life cycle.

The main focus within your role will be to understand the business requirements and undertake tenders and activities for a wide range of requirements to meet business needs. As part of the Direct Procurement team your portfolio could be for broad range of Goods and/or Services, from complex NEC agreements to large capital equipment to Personal Protection Equipment and Maintenance Repair Operations spend. Your portfolio will be confirmed upon arrival as we always strive to play to our team's strengths and areas that are of interest.

This is a varied role, and your ability to programme and project manage will be critical to your success within this role. A proven track record in excellent stakeholder engagement and management and the ability to 'hear' and understand the business needs are essential requirement as well as proven success in a category driven environment. . Examples of effective strategies with tangible value add benefits that achieve the business outcomes are vital.

What do you need?

As our next Senior Procurement Professional, we are looking for you to be educated to degree level (preferably in a Procurement or Business related field) to compliment your strong strategic category approach and commercial acumen.

You'll have an upbeat and positive outlook; be highly organised and enjoy working across different teams and business units; have a flair for communication; be able to establish credibility with our internal stakeholders by giving timely, relevant advice; not afraid to constructively challenge; be a confident negotiator and most of all love the challenge of procurement.

Your previous experience in a procurement function role, will see you truly add value to our diverse and enthusiastic team. Whilst OJEU procurement knowledge and understanding would be an advantage, your proven knowledge of strategic sourcing and sound procurement skills will see you hit the ground running and able to quickly contribute to the team's success.

An ability to travel within the region is required, i.e. full driving licence is required to ensure maximum engagement with both stakeholders and suppliers to undertaken, which will be required on a frequent basis.
