MMP Consultancy are seeking a qualified and experienced Planned Works Contract Manager for a permanent opportunity. Based in North London / Hertfordshire.

Experience within Property Services, knowledge of building construction, contracts and surveying procedures, ideally with experience in the Social Housing Sector.

Management duties involve other planned works staff.

Key Duties:

* Ensure delivery of service is within time and budget restraints, reflecting value for money.
* Recognising all recoverable outlay is authorised, recordered and recovered where possible through various means.nsuring all recoverable expenditure is authorised, recorded, reported and recovered where possible.
* Contract management through performance benchmarking, quality assurance, sustainability and value.
* Manage this through KPIs and other tools.
* Identify the customer / resident satisfaction through engagement and understanding.
* Delivering works which are complaint and in line with sector regulations and building standards. Including undertaking audits.
* Responsible for procuring and managin major works to void properties.
* Recognising data and asset planning across all planned and cyclical programmes.
* Manage consultancies and specialists brought in to assist.

Education / Skills:

* MRICS - preferably Chartered Building Surveyor. Will consider MCIOB or relevant construction qualification
* Construction related degree or equivalent
* Knowledge/awareness of the strategic property investment needs of the Group Knowledge of EU Procurement Directives and EU tendering rules.
* High level knowledge and experience of partnering and a range of procurement mechanisms and procedures
* Experience of building practice, building law and emerging trends, and the ability to manage best practice and techniques.
* Understanding of Landlord and tenant issues arising from leasehold properties
* Ability to effective manage resources to achieve business objective, whilst contribute to, complex budget setting whilst monitor and control budgets

Salary: £50,500 per annum
