I have an opportunity for a Buyer to join a manufacturing company based near Banbury. My client are looking for a Buyer on a permanent basis and are paying a salary of £35,000 - £40,000. The role offers great opportunities to develop a career further in Purchasing and ideally are looking for someone from an Automotive, Motorsport, F1 background, or someone with experience with Prototype Purchasing.

Candidates will have previous experience within Purchasing and Procurement as a Junior Buyer, Technical Buyer, Commodity Buyer, Senior Buyer, Category Buyer or Buyer.

Role responsibilities of the Buyer:

• Placing purchase orders for bespoke and engineered components in line with technical drawings (mainly interior and exterior trim)
• Achieving supplier, performance and cost KPIs
• Stock management
• Reporting and presenting information to senior members in the purchasing team
• Identifying potential risks
• Negotiate all terms and conditions, in line business operating procedures, ensuring the best total acquisition costs#
• Negotiations on terms and conditions, as well as reviewing existing supplier base.

Person Specification of the Buyer:

• Experience of working within a Tier 1 Automotive environment, Motorsport, Prototypes or New Product.
• Purchasing experience
• Working towards, or already CIPS Qualified would be desirable.

Salary

Up to 40k
