HR Operations Manager

We're working with a fast-growing business with fantastic offices in Oxfordshire to recruit for a HR Operations Manager that can drive and develop the future of HR Operations within the business.

In this role you will be responsible for managing a small team of two HR analysts and as a team you will be responsible for delivering and managing HR processes and procedures to ensure the HR Business Partners can deliver an effective HR support to the variety of client groups within the business

As HR Operations Manager, your key accountabilities will include;

Implementing a governance-compliant, data-driven, analytic approach to HR Operations Management; with business improvement at the forefront of your delivery.

  • Analysing HR metrics to determine the value and effectiveness of current HR initiatives, then providing insight as to where practices can be pruned or developed.
  • Identifying and managing the continuous improvement of operations, HRIS, and Practice.
  • Line-managing a small team or direct reports, providing direction, encouraging motivation, and pushing the productivity of core objectives.
  • You'll be a super-user of company HR Implementation systems, knowing functions and development from the inside out. It would be advantageous if you have been involved in implementing a new HR IS system in a previous role.

In applying for this role, you will have proven HR Operations Management experience, and will identify with the following

  • At least 5 years' HR Management experience in a process-driven HR environment.
  • An understanding of how well-formulated inner-workings of the department affect the further company, taking current HR policies and updates into consideration.
  • Previous shared-services experience would be a definite plus.
  • A natural eye for data, with an understanding of how to analyse and manipulate the data into regular reports.
  • A keen eye and intuition for change implementation, with the enthusiasm and engagement to deliver it.
  • Experience of taking leadership within a team, whether on specific projects, or previous line management experience.
  • You will have experience of managing a small team and have led on developing people plans for those individuals.

This HR Operations role takes root within the heart of the HR team and is integral to the smooth workings of the company at its very core. The HR team works on some exciting HR projects and as such the successful candidate will be curious and able to push back to the HR Directors on how processes can be improved within the business.
