My client is currently looking to hire a senior buyer to join their company. In the role you’ll be responsible for procuring essential goods and materials for the company at the best possible quality and price, as dictated by the needs of the company.

Responsibilities include

  • Effectively liaising with various departments and individuals within the company
  • Timely purchase order placement and receipt of items ordered from designated suppliers
  • Effectively resolving invoice queries and following up on un-received orders
  • Performing general admin as required by the role, including filing relevant to designated suppliers
  • Providing reports and quotes as requested by the department manager and customers respectively

The ideal candidate

  • Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office apps
  • keen attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Minimum of 2 years’ purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with MRP Systems
