We currently have an exciting role available for a Buyer for a client of ours who are based in Corby.

Reporting into the Purchasing Manager main duties of the role will include -

Managing daily activities relating to stock management.
Placing purchase orders for ingredients, packaging and purchased finished goods.
Covering for the Purchasing Manager.
Developing relationships with suppliers and monitor performance.

Occasionally you will be expected to travel in the UK to suppliers and trade shows.

You will be educated to a general GCSE standard as a minimum (Grade C and above in Mathematics and English are essential) or equivalent

Have experience of purchasing, stock control and monitoring stock levels, using computerised MRP systems relating to stock control, purchasing and ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
