My client in St Ives are recruiting for an experienced Buyer with Electro-Mech purchasing experience to join their busy team on a full time permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiating and driving down cost in the electro-mech global arena

  • Material quotations for new and existing business to support the sales team

  • Review existing procurement systems and implementing new processes

  • Manage UK and international suppliers to ensure there is a professional and effective client relationship

  • Proactively striving got cost reduction and process improvements across the entire supply chain

Skills and knowledge requirements

Personal Attributes

  • Previous electronic component and mechanical – both metal and plastic enclosure level procurement experience required

  • An understanding of the supply market

  • Strong ERP/MRP and materials management experience

  • Experience of international sourcing

  • Good attention to detail

  • Driven to hit targets and deadlines with and can do attitude

On Offer

Hours – Monday – Friday

Salary £25,000 - £27,000PA
