Freight Forwarding Internal Sales Executive

Our client is a privately-owned freight forwarder based in Basildon who is looking to appoint an internal sales executive who with time will progress into an external sales position.

The role would ideally suit an experienced freight forwarding operator looking to make the transition to Freight Forwarding Sales.

The candidate:

Good all-around knowledge of Freight Forwarding by road.

Must have good knowledge of weight/cube calculations, loading metres, and vehicle sizes

Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe

Experience of European Groupage, Full load and Express Freight

Confident telephone manner with tenacity and positivity to close sales on the telephone and in person.

Experience in a customer service role and confident in working with clients from different countries and backgrounds.

Self-starter who is very organised, focused and self-motivated.

Team player with attention to detail and pride in all areas of their work and presentation.

Priority is given to candidates with sea/air freight knowledge as well as road freight.

Computer literate with good knowledge working of Word, Excel, Apps and other modern technology platforms

Experience and passion for B to B marketing and sales necessary

£25,000 basic salary, very generous uncapped commission (plus car allowance once in an external sales position)
