Junior Category Marketing Manager

Our client, a fresh food company require a Category Marketing Manager (Junior), to join their growing team.

The right person will have the following attributes:

Technical Ability:

- Degree or equivalent level qualification/ work experience in either retail, food sector or market analytics

- Competent using Excel (expert user), Word & PowerPoint

- Good working understanding of market data and market insight tools including experience of both Qualitative and Quantitative research

- Good numerical forecasting ability and analytical skills

- Experience of market data sources e.g. Kantar, IRI and practical knowledge of retailer information systems (Desirable)

Market Experience

- Relevant business experience in category marketing and insights or equivalent

- Up to date knowledge of the retail market place.

- Experience of at least one of the top grocery retailers (desirable).

Behavioural Ability

- Highly motivated

- Good interpersonal skill

- Ability to develop constructive working relationships with team members, customers

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong planning and organisational skills.

- Ability to present information and proposals in a logical convincing manner.

- Use own initiative and 'Can do approach’

- Capable of working independently and as part of a team

- Smart appearance

- Able to work flexible and unsocial hours when required

- Able to travel in the UK and abroad as required

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:30pm

Holiday Entitlement: 20 days holiday + statutory bank holidays
