Bid Manager - Immediate Start - Up to £50,000

We are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Bid Manager to join an established Bid team based in vibrant, open-plan offices in an amazing location close to South Bank. Due to continued growth across the business, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Bid Manager to join their team.

In this brand-new role you will be responsible for managing and producing all commercially responsive bids to clients and partners. You will be part of a collaborative team who are responsible for winning new business in line with the wider company strategy and values of the business. Leading on proposal development and submission, you will use best practice to deliver compliant and compelling bids and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the business and external clients.

  • Ultimate responsibility for the bid quality (technical and commercial quality, risk management, and winnability)
  • Proactively champion and use the bid process from identification through bidding to negotiation and contract, continuously looking for ways to improve and develop it
  • Preparation of project proposals: management of bidding process; associate and consultant selection; technical writing; commercial proposal and authorisation
  • Support proposals teams throughout the proposal process, holding team members at all levels accountable to agreed deliverables when necessary
  • Work with writers on document planning and production; provide document review, advice and coaching
  • Help with planning, support and coaching for presentations/pitches
  • Proactive use of internal systems to support the management of the bid process, record and share information and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Enable continuous improvement and information and knowledge sharing across the business

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be a proven Bid Manager with extensive experience of the proposal writing process and will be capable of producing quality bids to the required standards. You will be excellent at building and managing stakeholder relationships and of delivering proposal management and bid advice for high value proposals. Any experience of working with proposals for the government sector would be hugely advantageous.

Furthermore, you will be pro-active, capable of working continuously to tight deadlines and managing your own workload successfully. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with and lead teams, will be client centred and commercially minded.
