Commercial & Operations Manager
Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
£65,000 to £75,000 plus EMI share options .

Our client is a Big Data business which provides a mobile app matching consumers (people!) to the right mobile deal for them based on price and signal strength where they work, live and hang out. They also provide a SaaS portal allowing mobile operators to understand more and connect more.
The company received seed investment last year which has enabled them to progress the capability and market reach of both products. They are now looking to appoint a commercially focussed operations professional with experience of fast growing digital businesses to join the team and assist the Founders and Seed angel investor to drive the business forwards. Reporting to the Board, the primary focus of the role will be to oversee contract, process and technology delivery whilst coaching our team to improve skills and capability within agreed budgets. This covers technology development and delivering, sales, operations and all growth channels.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities include, amongst other things:
·Delivering on company objectives across revenue, quality and user satisfaction
·Deliver disciplined cost management control with extensive liaison with the CFO
·Contributing to Long term strategy
·Vendor and partner management
·Delivering business and growth objectives against agreed budgets

In order to be successful in this diverse role, the chosen candidate will possess/be:
·Digital technology and/or development sector experience
·Proven commercial track record
·Confident, strong personality
·Excellent communications skills, with the ability to effect successful internal relationships with team members and external relationships with customers, investors, third parties, etc
·Gravitas, with clear leadership qualities and a straight talking style of management
·Team building skills and an inclusive, coaching style and mentality
·Hands on approach with the ability to work successfully in a small company
·Ability to see the bigger picture, whilst still remaining focussed on day to day operational matters
·Financially astute, with a clear grasp of the need to tightly manage cashflow, in line with the business plan
This role will offer the successful candidate a “stepping stone” to the role of Chief Operations Officer, after a qualifying probationary period. At this point, a higher salary will be discussed and also a share package will be offered. In summary, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business at the ground floor, ahead of their growth plans and future developments, which could easily include a trade sale or IPO in the next couple of years.
