Logistics/Procurement Co-Ordinator
Excellent opportunity to join a well-established and professional organisation as a Logistics/Procurement Co-Ordinator.
This is a busy and varied role which will utilise your experience of transport planning and knowledge of vehicle logistics, freight operations and supply chain principles. Duties to include:
- Arrange freight
- Order raw materials and finished products
- Ensure deliveries are on time and quantities are correct
- Place purchase orders for transport and third-party service providers
- Liaise with service providers and operations to track/chase orders
- Ensure all parties are updated on changes to schedules, costs, or any issues
- Control and maintain an accurate record of all product movement
- Schedule purchase orders and customer orders for collection and delivery
- Use control reports to monitor activities
- Track extra or non-standard costs, including cost recovery
- Log all claims of extra costs as notified by service providers
- Verify all claims of extra costs
- Liaison with external hauliers
- Administration of receipt/delivery queries, haulier invoices
The ideal candidate for this role will meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in transport planning (bulk, packed or multi-modal)
- Good administration skills
- Highly organised
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills
- Good document and data management skills
- ADR an advantage
- Knowledge of hazardous/dangerous goods an advantage
Salary £25,000 - £30,000 DOE
35 hours per week, Mon-Fri
33 days holiday, including BH
