Material Negotiator / Procurement - Rugby 35K + discretionary bonus
Our client is looking for a Material Negotiator / Procurement professional to develop and implement specific procurement sourcing methodology strategies to drive performance on cost, quality, service and delivery for the purchase of goods and services and to provide the best possible commercial position for the company from a financial and risk perspective in line with business objectives.
As the Material Negotiator / Procurement specialist you will guarantee the flow of information and effective communications between procurement, operations and maintenance to ensure the continuity of operations with the on-time sourcing of goods and services.
You will be responsible for negotiating the best terms for local purchase of equipment, parts, services and critical materials needed for the company's operations.
Technical knowledge required:
Supply chain, supply market trends, knowledge of mechanical engineering, instrumentation, electrical engineering and maintenance, negotiation strategy, project management.
Candidates should have a degree (or equivalent), preferably in engineering, with good knowledge of PC programs, MS Office, SAP, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes. Candidates should have a proven track record of delivering consistent annual savings, with good exposure to commercial markets. A CIPS diploma, would be beneficial.
Hours of work at Monday to Friday 0900-1700 (37.5 hour week) and the salary is in the region of 35K.
