My client, a market leading event planning company, are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team as they continue to grow globally. The role will be working in a busy supportive team of 10 and will require some international travel.
Duties;
- Oversee the coordination with suppliers to arrange all product shipments bookings in line with goods ready dates.
- Oversee the coordination and documentation required for our FOB business in Far East and EU.
- Manage the Import & Export compliance of the company ensuring all VAT, customs, commodity codes, DOCs for UK and US customs clearance are prepared
- To optimise and develop logistic routes, working closely with the Production Manager and Demand Planner to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to our customers
- Maintaining accurate information and updating the in-house system
- Attending meetings, delivering updates with regards to KPIS, and actioning requirements
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers and suppliers
- To source and manage new logistic suppliers
Skills and attributes required:
- Experience of working with factories in China and Europe
- Experience of B2C and B2B business models
- Knowledge and experience of global export and import logistics
- Excellent all-round communicator with strong negotiation skills
- Must be willing to travel (UK, FE, USA)
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Outlook
- Highly organised and an effective problem solver
- Experience in working with an ERP system
