BRAND CATEGORY MANAGER

Our client is looking to recruit a Brand Category Manager who has ideally worked within the Beauty or Skincare industry. The successful candidate will be part of a hugely successful business that operates across 80 countries and you will be based in the state of art Head Office.

The role of Brand Category Manager is a critical one to the business. The primary objective is to drive brand awareness and increase brand market share for the portfolio of Personal Care products. You will need to be confident in developing, managing and executing all marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a clear understanding of the portfolios market competitiveness and objectives and to then create Marketing and Brand Plans, New Product Initiatives and Communication plans (Events, PR, POS Material, Media, Social Media, etc.).
  • Work closely with various teams such as Buying, Sales, Artwork & Design, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Create consumer and shopper understanding t then offer a tailored approach to the UK consumers/retailers and therefore influence decisions to define Price, Portfolio and Channel strategies
  • Responsible for Marketing ROI analysis on brand portfolio and ensure budget optimization
  • Work with Technical teams regarding packaging and format of products
  • Attend Sales Meetings when necessary and contribute ideas for delivery of content for the UK Customer base
  • Input into retailer specific marketing calendars
  • Responsible for regular review of the effectiveness of the NPD programme
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties which will include agencies
  • Regular review of all Marketing strategies across the portfolio of products
  • Work closely with the CEO and engage in regular Management meetings

The Individual:

  • Must have a relevant Degree and ideally be CIM qualified
  • Minimum of 3 years Brand Management or Trade Marketing experience within FMCG
  • Good understanding of Strategic Marketing
  • Understanding of consumer and customer requirements within the UK Retail market
  • Good commercial and business acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Creative flair
  • Be self- motivated with an entrepreneurial sprit
  • Confident in own abilities and able to work in a fast paced environment
