Your new role
You will be responsible for up to 10 direct reports as well as having responsibility for all regulatory requirements for the safe & efficient running all the company vehicles. Ensuring that all vehicle planning schedules are both efficient and effective of all vehicles using an internal planning systems eliminating any idle time to improve customer service levels. Implementing budget and costing reports for Directors on a monthly & quarterly basis

Maintenance of the vehicle fleet as also paramount and must be kept in a structure. Manage driver hire/induction and training programs ensuring all legal requirements are met. Manage all absence & performance issues on a daily basis as well as attend daily Op's meetings.

What you'll need to succeed
It is paramount to have a Transport National CPC certification any applications without this will be unsuccessful. Knowledge & experience of planning driver's working hours and working time regulations as well as excellent communication skills. To be experienced people manager with a track record of developing successful teams along with previous experience of using a Tom Tom/Navigation planning system.

Excellent Excel skills to create monthly reports and to be able to analyse data and establish discrepancies. Must have excellent communications, setting examples to their team to show respect to all levels both internal & externally. Ability to be able to respond to varied needs of customers in a calm and structured manner at all times. To be able to consistently review the requirements of the business and present findings & create proposals to aid future growth.

What you'll get in return

A full-time position working 47 hours per week with a salary of £25,000.00 to £28,000.00 depending on the experience and skill set of the applicant. A fantastic Health scheme w 22 Days holiday per year. Use of company vehicle. Training support.
