Logistics Operative

If you have warehouse experience and ideally a forklift licence, then we have a brilliant opportunity for you.

My client is looking for someone to join their small warehouse team, the ideal candidate will have a forklift licence but candidates with strong warehouse experience will still be considered.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Shipping - Managing the organisation of shipping schedules, liaising with haulage companies and updating customers regarding their delivery dates
• Goods In - Accurately booking-in materials and signing off receipt of deliveries
• Despatch - Running, preparing and planning despatch of goods, ensuring they leave on time
• Operations - Inventory management of all stock and consumables, maintaining an organised warehouse, running invoices and investigating goods lost or damaged
• Quality and Health and Safety - Ensuring all legal Health and Safetyrequirements are adhered to, compiling and updating procedures, where required
• Repacking - Organising and undertaking the repack of materials to deadline, assisting with the improvement of repacking processes

The successful candidate must be self-motivated with a good attention to detail and accuracy, understand Outlook, Excel, Word and be comfortable speaking with customers and suppliers over the phone.
