The Supply planner will be responsible for creating and managing the material schedule to meet production needs, liaising with suppliers and managing the delivery of materials.

Based in Sittingbourne, Kent our client are a growing FMCG business specialising in beauty and cosmetics.
Description
The Supply planner will be responsible for creating and managing the material schedule to meet production needs, liaising with suppliers and managing the delivery of materials.

Create, maintain and utilise stock flow and order analysis worksheets

Process purchase orders and liaise with suppliers regarding product information
-
Work with suppliers to plan container loading to ensure effective delivery of stock to support demand requirements

Communicate with managers on airfreight requirements and costs, working to budgets and targets
-
Liaise with the Imports Planner to confirm shipments and ensure containers are being proceed on time at origin
-
Liaise with suppliers about production and delivery timings. Advancing or delaying order as necessary to support sales forecasts

Review out of stock and/or shortage of supply issues and recommend mitigating actions

Work closely with the project teams and suppliers to manage any potential risks to time frames of projects

Maintain the ERP system data, reporting any information to relevant departments as necessary

Travel to London as required to attend trade and commercial meetings
Profile
The successful Supply Planner will be able to demonstrate:
-
Experience maintaining inventory looking at optimisation of parameters and levels
-
An understanding of material management strategies
-
Ability to conduct root cause analysis of out of stock and shortage situations
-
Exposure to working with both UK and overseas suppliers
-
Strong IT skills including MS packages and use of ERP systems
