Senior Buyer Manufacturing/Production

Are you a Buyer/Purchaser who has worked within a manufacturing or production environment? Have you got a proven record of leading projects and initiatives to improve the supply base??

This market leading company specialise in bespoke vehicle solutions for a range of clients across the UK and overseas. Established over 100 years they have spent millions of pounds in recent years on their state-of-the-art site in Dorking, they currently require a Buyer as part of their future plans.

You will be responsible for leading supplier agreements across various business units and materials groups within the company. You'll be heavily involved the selection and improvement of suppliers whilst driving cost reduction initiatives through cross-functional projects.

The ideal person will be a Senior Buyer or Purchaser from an engineering/manufacturing or production environment. You'll have a proven track record of multi department projects and will have strong IT skills including SAP/MRP and other packages.

The Role:

*Establish, develop and negotiating supplier agreements
*Purchasing specialist spare parts
*Leading cost reduction activities and projects to improve the supply base
*Using SAP and MRP systems
*£38,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Excellent Package

The Person:

*Experienced Buyer/Purchaser

*Experience of leading cost cost reduction activities
*Experience in an engineering/manufacturing or production environment.
*Experience of SAP/MRP systems
*Full UK driving licence
