The client is a combined authority based across Yorkshire that are looking for an MCIPS Senior Category Manager to join this talented procurement function.

Description

As a Senior Category Manager your duties will include, however are not limited to:

  • Line manage the performance and development of direct reports

  • Negotiate and influence senior stakeholders

  • Develop and deliver procurement savings plans for specific categories

  • Lead and manage complex and strategic collaborative procurement projects

  • Manage contract reviews for key business critical contracts

  • Develop and manage sustainable procurement strategies for specific categories

Profile

Will have managed/supervised a team previously

  • Have MCIPS
  • Have a clear understanding of procurement legislation
  • Have worked in a public sector organisation previously

Job Offer

Starting salary of c.£41,000 + exceptional benefits package (including 30 days holiday + bank holidays) + multi-site options
