Category Manager - Indirect Procurement

This role is to manage the indirect procurement categories for this exciting expanding international business. Responsible for managing all indirect spend including HR, IT, Utilities, Engineering and Technical, you will be an experienced category manager or senior buyer able to deliver a highly effective procurement strategy. You have a strong background in managing the tender process to deliver innovative new suppliers. In addition, you will manage the service level agreements for existing suppliers.

Key to this role will be ensuring that company values and standards of professionalism are maintained throughout the supplier base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive value, cost savings and process improvement for all categories.
  • Able to create, negotiate and implement contracts and SLAs with all suppliers.
  • Create, own and implement category strategies.
  • Develop and improve supplier performance using SRM techniques.
  • Provide exceptional customer service across cross functional teams.

Technical skills required:

  • Knowledge and experience of negotiation, RFP’s, SRM and Contract Law.
  • A broad range of purchasing experience across indirect categories.
