Operations Manager (Manufacturing/Production)

Up to £50,000 DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Quarterly Bonus Scheme + Development Opportunities

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Operations Manager required for a successful and growing manufacturer due to a recent internal promotion. The company offer a personable working environment with great opportunities for further development and progression within business growth.

The successful Operations Manager will have previous experience of having been either a Production, Manufacturing or Operations Manager within a similar environment. You will need a reasonable level of engineering competency/knowledge. Those with experience any LEAN manufacturing qualifications/implementation experience would be at an advantage.

The Operations Manager:

*40/60 split between Managerial responsibility and hands on tasks (Although are plans to convert the role to more Managerial tasks)
*Overseeing entire daily operations, being targeted on KPI’s for Quality, Finances (Cost Reduction), Shipping and Budgets.
*Liaising between various management and departments such as: Production Supervisor, QA Manager, Purchasing & Materials Control, Production Planning Staff, Stores Personnel, Logistics and Technicians.
*Supporting Production, Quality, CI, Despatch/Logistics and Stocks/Materials.
*Ensuring sufficient staffing is provided for the relevant departments.
*The Main production areas cover Casting, Assembly, Demoulding, Finishing and Machine shop.
*This role will have training support, where you will be integrated into the business dependant on any skill gaps.

The Successful Operations Manager:
 
*You will have previous experience of having been either a Production, Manufacturing or Operations Manager within a similar environment.
*You will need a reasonable level of engineering competency/knowledge.
*Those with experience any LEAN manufacturing qualifications/implementation experience would be at an advantage.
