A leading logistics business are recruiting a warehouse operations manager to join their expanding NDC in Birmingham. Paying £35k-£40k
Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Operations Manager:
- Co-ordinate and supervise the day to day activities of NDC colleagues
- Pro-actively support and promote a culture of Health & Safety
- Understand, display and pro-actively follow quality related customer and NDC errors focusing on improving customer experience
- Promote use of continuous improvement tools
- Understand Stock management systems, batch control, rotation, ABC classification, warehouse utilisation and capacity
- Help create and improve robust processes and procedures
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Prior warehouse management experience is essential
- Well versed in continuous improvement
- Flexibility to work different shift patterns to the business needs
- Engaging and motivational management style
- Knowledge of Stock Management principles and systems
- Focus on delivering results without compromise to safety, quality and cost
- Be receptive and promote new ideas within the warehouse operation
- Understanding of, and ability to effectively action disciplinary procedures
