Roevin Engineering are currently recruiting for a Logistics & Exports Co-ordinator with a large global company in the local Sheffield area. This may suit someone who is looking for a step up in their career. You could be working in a similar industry/department and have an understanding of exports and logistics.
This company will assist with training and development. We are seeking someone who is ambitious and hard working.
Role Requirements:
Preparation of export documentation, maintenance of internal records regarding export shipments, booking of transport and sending details of shipments to customers
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for arranging transport to Export customers ensuring on time delivery of customer orders.
Advising customers of shipping details, liaison with freight forwarders to arrange shipping in a timely manner and achieve cost effective shipments ensuring the customer is updated throughout the process.
Liaise with other departments to ensure orders are on schedule and on time delivery.
Produce and supply customers with all relevant documentation prior to and after despatch date.
Competencies:
Good planning, organisational and communication skills with attention to detail
Diagnostic skills
Sound understanding of customer requirements
Team player but able to work on own initiative.
Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office & G-Suite programmes
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Ideally have experience working in an export department
A second European language would be useful
Knowledge of export procedures and required documentation including all methods of shipment e.g. road, airfreight, sea freight and courier
Knowledge of import procedures preferable
Knowledge of manufacturing environment
