The Company & Role:
Our client, a leading logistics supplier, are looking for a Freight Roadfreight Operations Planner to join their team in West Yorkshire.
Duties:
- Planning of groupage and full loads, and express deliveries, to and from European destinations
- Interaction with drivers
- Maintaining close contact with overseas partners and agents
- Allocating domestic collections / deliveries to in house domestic team and third party hauliers
- Handling customer queries and providing operational updates
- Data entry and document generation
- Providing spot quotations
- Charging of files in preparation for invoicing
Skills Needed:
- Experience of European road freight operations
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Confident and effective communications skills (verbal and electronic)
- Customer focussed & commercially aware
In Return:
You will receive a salary between £20,000 and £25,000, depending on experience.
Hours are 8.30am - 5pm, some occasional overtime and Saturday AM (unpaid), 1 hour lunch
