The Purchaser/Estimator will be responsible for calculating material requirements from drawings, negotiating with suppliers to order the materials and liaising with site.
Client Details
Our client specialise in the development of bespoke, luxury new homes in Kent, building around 30 homes each year. They offer a flexible and adaptive service to customers with all new homes being individually designed and including superior quality features.
They are now seeking a Purchaser / Estimator to join their team at their busy Maidstone office.
Description
The Purchaser / Estimator will be responsible for calculating material requirements from drawings, negotiating with suppliers to order the materials at the best price and liaising with site to ensure stock is ready to call off at the right time.

Managing and organising of numerous projects at one time
-
Reviewing architectural drawings to determine material requirements and quantities

Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best price for materials

Liaising with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time and in full

Communicating with site to ensure all required materials are in stock and available when needed

Utilise the newly implemented software package for scheduling and pricing of projects
Profile
The successful Purchaser / Estimator will be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to calculate material requirements from architectural drawings
- Experience in managing numerous projects at one time
- Strong communication skills with suppliers and site contractors
- Advanced IT skills particularly with Microsoft packages
