The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the day to day performance and medium-term direction of the teams who stand over the flow of product through the business: from raw materials to forecasting to production planning to warehousing to logistics and delivery to our customers.

Leading the customer supply team, warehouse & logistics, and planning, they will help their team collaborate across the business, from sales to factory to finance, delivering seamless forecasting, production and delivery. Their team will translate sales forecasts into demand plans and production schedules, whilst monitoring stocks of raw materials, placing orders against our suppliers to ensure a just in time delivery of fresh inputs, and embedding an S&OP culture in the organisation, whilst sharing clear reporting and analysis across the different stakeholders.

The Supply Chain Manager is expected to lead discussions with suppliers, and the supply chain teams of customers to identify ways to reduce cost and improve service, helping to build a world class, efficient operation. We have legacy systems that meet the day to day needs, but moving forward our client needs the Supply Chain Manager to look at how they can maximise the use of these to deliver against the efficiency agenda, embedding a data driven culture that ensures the right decision is taken every time.

In order to be considered for this role it is essential that you have experience of demand planning and supply chain within a manufacturing business. It is also important that you can demonstrate how you have developed a strategic vision which you then implemented. Knowledge of warehousing would also be advantageous.
