LOGISTICS - Business Development Manager - 3rd Party Logistics

Prospect for potential new clients and work to secure new business in line with the Company growth plan.
Identify potential clients and decision makers, building working relationships of trust and confidence.
Promote and represent the Company brand and its values to differentiate the Company and its services from our competitors.

Candidates should have experience in selling:

  • Integrated mult-client warehouse and shared distribution solutions
  • End-to-end multimodal capabilities
  • Vendor-managed inventory services (VMI)
  • Reverse logistics
  • eCommerce fulfilment services
  • Repacking, labelling and kitting
  • Last-mile delivery and installation solutions
  • Advanced value-added services


Present to potential new clients, whilst working with the wider team and other areas of the business to develop proposals that meet the client's needs and objectives.
Produce written customer proposals.

Profile

LOGISTICS - Business Development Manager - 3rd Party Logistics - industries include: Automotive, Manufactoring, Consumer, Utilities, Technology - Covering National and must be centrally based

Sales experience of working in a Business Development role within significant experience in the Third Party Logistics sector - must have logistics distribution and supply chain knowledge. (Essential)
Experienced in dealing with Senior Management, key stakeholders and client's up to and including Board level
Experienced in the writing of proposals and tender documents working to competitive deadlines
Experienced in industries verticals: Automotive, Manufactoring, Consumer, Utilities, Technology (Essential)
A highly confident and proactive individual able to represent the Company and client
Capable of working under pressure to critical deadlines and objectives
Degree Educated (Essential)
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
home based with national travel (ideally be based on the M1 corridor; St. Albans, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Stevenage, Northampton, Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham etc.)

Job Offer

LOGISTICS - Business Development Manager - 3rd Party Logistics

c.£55K basic (upto £80k basic depending on experience) + bonus (uncapped but realistic sales target £20k) + car/allowance

home based with national travel (ideally be based in Midlands; Northampton, Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham etc.)
