Head of Procurement

Pod Talent are working exclusively with an exciting Global FMCG business who are looking to put together a new function that will be at the centre of this businesses long term vision. This new role is being put in place to deliver expertise, savings and professional development across Indirect spend for the UK. This role has a fantastic development in that once this team is established and in place, it will lead to a global remit. You will be tasked with implementing best in class sourcing strategies, aligning the business to assess the risks associated to suppliers, managing an initial Indirect spend of approximately £200m, and finally building out a team to assist in embedding the process and tackle buying projects. To be considered for this role you will need to have experience in the following areas: * Maintains a high standard of integrity * Managing a team and working with a cooperative attitude * Excellent stakeholder skills, and previous experience working in a matrix organisation * Strong background in Indirect procurement, managing significant spend areas * Working in the FMCG sector is a must * Strong commercial background * MCIPS (Preferable) If you would like to know more about this role, don't delay in making an application.
