My client in Suffolk are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join their friendly team. This is a brand new role that they have created so is a great opportunity to make your mark on this role. You will be helping the team deliver projects on time and within budget and provide materials and equipment to meet the needs of the business.

What’s involved?

Assist purchasing materials and equipment

Check purchase orders

Keep an up to date record of suppliers and pricing arrangements

Keep a record of stock of materials and equipment to avoid shortages and a mass amount of stock

Report any supply problems and find solutions to issues

Seek and recognise any proposed changes to help reduce costs, lead times and provide a better level of service.

Build a good rapport with the suppliers

Keep the internal team up to date with any relevant information

Why you?

You will be enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills and support the team with their duties. Ideally you will have some experience within this sector before, but they are willing to train someone that is keen to get into this industry. You will have good analytical skills and be able to review data to create relevant reports. Strong communication is a must and you must be able to handle pressure and work within a team to meet deadlines. Travel may be required at times so you must be willing to accommodate this. You must be confident in IT and have knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Sage will be an advantage but is not essential.

What’s in it for you?

Salary is dependent on experience but is up to £22,500. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30-5pm and you get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
